Beyond thrice nine lands in the thrice tenth tsardom lives the witch Baba Yaga, in a chicken-legged hut surrounded by a picket fence. Atop each fencepost is a lantern made from the skull of a child the Baba Yaga has eaten...

I remember those cartoons about the Russian stories and they were absolutely stunning. This is one of them. I can't believe I'd ever get to see it again. :D

I didn't know the skulls were children. I thought she ate pretty much anybody. It was what made her more scary... not even grownups could stand up to her.

Baba Yaga's definitely the coolest witch in folklore. Oddly, I actually like the scenery a lot more than I like the hut. It seems a bit out of place with the pen-outlines. Although I guess that's more of a personal preference than a critique.

OoooOOoooo...that's spook-eh! I was just telling someone else how much I love the old Baba Yaga tales, which inspired me to do a search and see who's done related art. This is very cool.

Eeee, Baba Yaga's hut! For some reason, I am obsessed with her hut. Not as much Baba Yaga.

Maybe I like the decoration possiblities, I do not know.

You get double plus brownie points! *PING!*
